I am now in my third year of boarding thoroughbred mares and their foals at
Vosburgh Farm in Lexington. During this time, I have increased my broodmare
band from one mare to my current four mares. This increase has been possible
due to the profitability of my small commercial breeding operation.
Broodmares must be very carefully managed to maintain solvency in this high risk business. Vosburgh Farm has provided the expert equine care and management necessary for financial success.
I have been connected to thoroughbred racing my entire life. My father was a trainer, and I have owned, trained, and bred race horses. My husband and I owned and managed a small breeding farm for several years.
I had never considered boarding my horses. I had always believed that no one else could provide the expertise, attention to detail, and hard work that was essential for success. Vosburgh Farm is the exception to this belief.
I have found Tammy Vosburgh to be extremely knowledgeable of horses (her rapport with them is truly remarkable); very hard working (to the point of not sleeping a full night during foaling season); and always available by phone or in person at the farm (she rarely leaves the premises). Her positive, ‘upbeat’ attitude is tremendous encouragement in a business known for its ‘ups’ and ‘downs’.
The entire staff at Vosburgh Farm has consistently afforded honesty, respect, and hospitality to me; and individual, personalized care for each of my mares and foals. When professional services are needed, only the most reputable veterinarians, farrier, etc. are used.
Vosburgh Farm’s equine expertise, personal integrity, individualized
attention, and hard work are directly responsible for the success of my horse
breeding business. I would never consider sending my horses anywhere else.

Dear Tammy and Brian:
I write you this reference letter for anyone looking for boarding or care
of their horses.
Over the last several years I have had about 20 horses boarded at farms in New York, California, Florida and Kentucky and I must say that you had provided us with absolutely the best care of our horses than any farm we had ever used.
In fact, when we sent our Tale of the Cat yearling to Robert Scanlon Training Center, the trainer, Benny Betts said that "whoever had this yearling, put him in top physical condition".
What was appreciated was the attention to detail regarding the feeding and nutritional needs, the constant monitoring of the condition of the horses and the dedication to making sure that care could not have been better given. You didn't cut any corners.
We have since sold all of our horses, but if in the future we should go back into the horse business, there would only be one farm to which we would send our horses and that would be Vosburgh Farms.
With kind regards,
Furno Bloodstock
